Gift of Smiles Event a Success!!
The Buncombe County Dental Society partnered with the ABCCM and AB Tech to provide the first Gift of Smiles event for uninsured and unemployed Buncombe County citizens. Approximately 92 patients received comprehensive dental exams and x-rays and 67 of those patients received free dental services including dental cleanings, dental fillings, and tooth extractions. Over a two day period, BCDS dentists provided a total of $52,957.00 of dental services free of charge.

Who We Are
The Buncombe County Dental Society is a constituent of the North Carolina Dental Society, an association founded in 1856 whose primary objectives are “…to encourage the improvement of the oral health of the public, to promote the art of science of dentistry and encourage the maintenance of high standards of professional competence and practice, and to represent the interests of the members of the dental profession and the public which it serves.”
